Supplications for Evil Eye and Hardship (In the Light of Quran and Hadith)

(1)
وَاِنْ يَّكَادُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَيُزْلِقُوْنَكَ بِاَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُوْنٌ ۘ وَمَا هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ
(القلم ۔ ۵۱، ۵۲)

Transliteration: Wa in yakadul-lazina kafaru layuzliqoonaka bi-absarihim lamma sami‘uz-zikra wa yaqooloona innahu lamajnoon.
Wa ma huwa illa zikrul-lil-‘alameen.

Translation:
It seems as though the disbelievers would almost cause you to slip with their (evil) glances when they hear the Reminder, and they say, “Indeed, he is surely mad.” Yet it is nothing but a reminder for all the worlds.

اَعِيْذُكَ بِكَلِمٰتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَّهَامَّةٍ وَّمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَّامَّةٍ
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Transliteration: U‘eizuka bikalimatillahit-taammati min kulli shaitanin wa haammatin wa min kulli ‘aynin

Translation:
I seek protection for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, every harmful creature, and from every evil eye.

(3)
اَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَاَنْ يَّحْضُرُوْنِ
(Jami at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Abu Dawud)

Transliteration: A‘uzu bikalimatillahit-taammati min ghadabihi wa ‘iqabihi wa sharri ‘ibadihi wa min hamazatish-shayateen wa an yahduroon.

Translation:
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, from the evil of His servants, from the whisperings of the devils, and from their presence.

بِسْمِ اللهِ اَرْقِيْكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُّؤْذِيْكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ اَوْ عَيْنِ حَاسِدٍ اللهُ يَشْفِيْكَ بِسْمِ اللهِ اَرْقِيْكَ
(Sahih Muslim)

Transliteration: Bismillahi arqika min kulli shay’in yu’zeeka min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin hasidin, Allahu yashfeeka, bismillahi arqika.

Translation:
In the Name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul and the evil eye of the envier. May Allah grant you healing. In the Name of Allah, I perform ruqyah for you.

بِسْمِ اللهِ يُبْرِيْكَ وَمِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يَّشْفِيْكَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ ذِيْ عَيْنٍ
(Sahih Muslim)

Transliteration: Bismillahi yubrika wa min kulli da’in yashfeeka wa min sharri hasidin iza hasad wa min sharri kulli dhi ‘ayn.

Translation:
In the Name of Allah, may He cure you; from every illness may He grant you healing; from the evil of the envier when he envies, and from the evil of every possessor of an evil eye.

اَذْهِبِ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ اَنْتَ الشَّافِيْ لَا شِفَاءَ اِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَّا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Transliteration: Azhibil-ba’sa rabbannas washfi anta ash-shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka shifa’an la yughadiru saqama.

Translation:
Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and grant healing; You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing—a healing that leaves no illness behind.
