Minor Signs of the Day of Resurrection (3) (In the Light of Ḥadīth)

Some Arab tribes will begin to worship idols again, and some tribes will join the polytheists:

    Thawbān (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I fear most for my ummah from misguided leaders (for they will cause great harm to the religion). Some tribes of my ummah will soon begin to worship idols, and some tribes will join the polytheists. Before the Hour, nearly thirty false dajjāls will appear, each claiming to be a prophet. A group from my ummah will always remain firm upon the truth; they will continue to receive help from Allah, and no opposing force will harm them until the command of Allah (the Hour) comes.”

Near the Day of Resurrection, the worship of al-Lāt and al-ʿUzzā will begin again as it was in the pre-Islamic era:

    ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Day and night will not cease until the worship of al-Lāt and al-ʿUzzā resumes.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, I thought that when Allah revealed: ‘It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth so that it may prevail over all other religions, even though the polytheists dislike it’ (Sūrat al-Tawbah, 33), it would remain so forever.” He ﷺ said: “This will continue as long as Allah wills.”

Trade will become widespread:

    ʿAmr ibn Taghlib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Among the signs of the Hour is that wealth will become abundant and widespread, trade will become common, the pen will become prevalent, and a man will sell something but later deny it, saying: ‘Let me consult such-and-such merchant first,’ and in a large neighborhood a scribe will be sought but none will be found.”
    (Sunan al-Nasāʾī)

Trade will become so widespread that women will assist men in commerce:

    ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Before the Hour, greetings will be limited to acquaintances, trade will become so widespread that a wife will assist her husband, and severing of kinship ties will become common.”

Wealth will increase to such an extent that people will be invited to accept charity but none will accept it:

    Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Before the Hour, wealth will increase to such an extent that a wealthy person will wonder who will accept his charity. He will call someone to take it, but the person will say: ‘I have no need of it.’”

Abundance of wealth is among the signs of the Hour:

    Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The Hour will not be established until wealth becomes abundant, tribulations appear, and harj becomes widespread.” The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what is harj?” He ﷺ said three times: “Killing, killing, killing.”
